It is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life.”

— Ludwig van Beethoven

Mark Mayea is a Florida-born composer, orchestrator, recording and performing artist, who embarked on his musical journey at the age of five. Under the tutelage of Irena Kofman, a faculty member of Florida Atlantic University (FAU), he immersed himself in classical music for nearly 15 years. He received many accolades in his youth from competitive performances regionally and nationally. He was a recipient of the Rising Stars program and performed as a guest on stage with the Palm Beach Pops Orchestra. His education continued at Dreyfoos High School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he honed his skills to use on stage, through the collaboration of other artists across various majors.

In 2015, he moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and began performing on stage regularly with other musicians as a freelancer. His extensive knowledge of music theory and recording experience with numerous artists, both locally and nationally, have solidified his reputation as a versatile musician. He has since ventured into the realm of original composition, collaborating with musicians and blending his unique style of improvisation with genres such as jazz, rock, funk, and even heavy metal.

His expertise extends beyond traditional music. He meticulously crafts all his sounds for his performances, which is a testament to his dedication and passion. His exceptional ability to create realistic studio-quality patches has garnered him widespread acclaim, both on and off the stage, but moreso his passion and love for bringing others joy through music. He is also a founding member and songwriter for his original project, Anthill Cinema.

As a multi-instrumentalist, Mark draws inspiration from a diverse array of composers and artists, spanning both the past and present. His musical inspiration encompasses renowned figures like Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, and Elton John, as well as celebrated composers such as John Williams, Alexandre Desplat, and Howard Shore.
